Oklahoma Development League

ODL Information

The Oklahoma Development League has been formed to support several key objectives: 

• Fun for the Players 

• Advance player development 

• Expose players to an advanced playing format 

• Prepare players to compete with teams outside Oklahoma 

• Inspire academies to develop team relationships and player confidence. 

Soccer Players:

U7 Girls and Boys
U8 Girls and Boys
U9 Girls and Boys
U10 Girls and Boys
U11 Girls and Boys
U12 Girls and Boys
U13 Girls and Boys 

Field Dimensions (8v8):

50 X 80 yards, properly marked for goals and goal keeper 

Number of Players:

8v8 - 7 field players and a goal keeper
Minimum of 7 players to start game
Roster size with minimum of 11 and maximum of 15 

Time:

Games consist of two 22-minute halves, with a 5 minute half-time
Games must start on time or a forfeit will be recorded by referee. 

Goal Size:

21 x 7 feet 

Ball Size:

Size #4 ball 

Play Time:

All Players must play 25% of each game. Players may be held from playing the required amount of time for the following reasons: 

1) Violation of (written) team rules
2) Illness or injury
3) Parental consent or instruction Any other reason for holding players from game must be approved by the ODL staff. Coaches are to police each other and report any concerns to the appropriate ODL staff. 

Substitutions:

Players may be substituted by either team with consent of the official during stoppage of play. This includes corner kicks, goal-kicks, throw-ins, goals and injuries. Players must enter at the halfway line. 

Number of Games:

Teams will be leagued to play a minimum of 8 games games per season, key dates are noted on the individual season page.

Scores and Standings:

Games tied at the end of regulation are tied and no overtime or shoot-outs will be held. The ODL does not record nor post scores and standings.

Miscellaneous:

Coaches Responsibility: Coaches are responsible for their team's players, parents, and spectators. Any offense committed by a coach, parent or spectator may result in a warning and possible removal of the head coach and/or parents and spectators. 

Depending on team participation this season, leagues may not respect gender and age. Boy’s teams may be required to play older girls. Younger girl’s teams will not be leagued up in age, unless requested by their academy coach.
